Soles in the Sand (or grass or earth or mud...)
I find it highly ironic that I'm obsessed with shoes and yet chose a profession/s that require me to be naked from the ankle down.
(Okay, so technically, as a writer, I'm "allowed" to wear shoes. But who are any of us kidding? Most writers don't change out of their pajamas to work, much less put on a pair of shoes).
As a yoga teacher, however, I'm barefoot pretty much all of the time. And while I can almost hear my closet full of booties wincing in utter sadness due to blatant neglect, being barefoot is actually a very GOOD THING. I shared my thoughts on why with Best Selling Author, award-winning designer, and Happiness Expert (yeah, there's such a thing!), Karen Salmansohn!
